Revit Schedules & Tags are incredible! From organizing hundreds of sheets on a single project to making broad scale changes in seconds, they are an inextricable part of BIM processes and workflows.

BIMsquare offers several Revit Schedules that improve workflow. Like Drafting Views, Schedules can be copied to your clipboard and pasted to any project! Using our Schedules and Tags are an excellent way of familiarizing yourself with how to harness the true power of BIM.

Purchases can be downloaded an unlimited number of times and your account never expires!

Description

Note: Revit now supports shared parameters in key schedules!  For Revit 2022 and newer, we recommend taking advantage of this fantastic new capability!

Occupant Loads for Revit 2021 and older contain everything needed for calculating, tagging, and scheduling occupant loads for Areas. Moreover, this download will help you develop life safety plans for Areas. Ultimately, you may find these families particularly valuable when determining the means of egress for large complex buildings. Because Dynamo is needed to bridge the gap between key-schedules and area parameters, running the DYN files is required.

Firstly, paste the Key-Schedule into your target project.

Revit Occupant Loads includes an integer-based key-schedule named Maximum Area Per Occupant  which is used to calculate occupant loads. Thus, your areas divided by the integer values result in occupant loads. Once placed in your target project, the Key-Schedule adds required values to areas.

Next, go to the parameter Maximum Area Per Occupant. You may find it under the group named Identity Data (see image below). Finally, use the little pull-down menu at the far right to add values to your Areas.

Then load the Revit Occupant Loads Area Tag

Get started by loading the family provided in the download named Occupancy Load Area Tag into your target project. Then edit the Tag to suit your companies graphic standards as required. Please note that the area tag has two shared parameters but requires Dynamo to add values in projects.

Revit Occupant Loads Area Schedule

Your download will contain an area schedule for sorting areas by level. Importantly, consider modifying this schedule to suit your graphic-standards as required for your life safety plans. Column ‘G’ is a text parameter with the header text removed. If you wish to change a row’s height but leave the text size in your cells, use this valuable Revit workaround.

Finally, this download contains two Dynamo workflows in a single DYN file. User Instructions are located in the starting view of the RVT. Periodically remove unused areas as required.
